Knoebel's Amusement Park
Located approximately three hours from Philadelphia and Delaware County is the Worlds Largest Free Admission Amusement Park. Instead of paying $35,$40 or more per ticket for each person not including $22 or more for parking you just pay for the rides you want to go on. I know some people go to these parks for their kids......pay $35 plus for their own ticket and may only go on one or two rides. What a waste of money........The park has kids rides(21) that are less than $2.00 per ride. The adult/thrill rides(19) are less than $2.50 per ride. The family rides(19) are less than $3.00 per ride.
In addition to all the rides the park also has an 18 hole golf course, a carousel museum, a miniature golf course, a park history museum, a lazer tag area($3.00), a mining museum, a shooting gallery, a boat tag/cannon game($5.00/$2.00-$4.00 bucket of balls), an XD theater, an arcade and a bald eagle habitat. There are picnic areas suitable for families or groups.(reservations recommended) The park is great place for a family getaway or an extended family reunion. The park is located at 391 Knoebels Blvd in Elysburg, PA

The Jersey Shore
The term Jersey Shore is used to refer to both the Atlantic coast of the U.S. state of New Jersey and the adjacent resort residential communities. To many New Jersey residents as well as some Pennsylvanians it is simply referred to as "The Shore". Each area of the Shore is considered to have its unique individuality. Geographically the area encompasses about 217 miles of the New Jersey coastal area from Sandy Hook in the north to Cape May in the south.
The Jersey Shore area includes the easternmost portions of Monmouth, Atlantic, Cape May and Ocean counties. The coast is lined with over 40 communities including Long Branch, Asbury Park, Ocean Grove, Belmar, Spring Lake, Manasquan, Point Pleasant Beach, Seaside Heights, Long Beach Island, Brigantine, Atlantic City, Ocean City, Sea Isle City, Wildwood, Wildwood Crest, Chadwick Beach Island,Cape May, and Stone Harbor. Ocean Grove and Cape May are well known for their Victorian architecture. The Shore is famous for its boardwalks with arcades, water parks and amusement parks with hundreds of rides and attractions. The Atlantic City boardwalk was one of the first boardwalks of its type and dates back to 1870. Ocean City is home to a boardwalk with several shops and amusement areas. Ocean City is known as a "family oriented" resort and has prohibited the sale of alcoholic beverages within its limits since its founding in 1879. The Wildwoods is used as a collective for the four communities being theBorough of Wildwood Crest, the City of Wildwood, the Borough of West Wildwood and the City of Nort Wildwood. Cape May is one of the country's oldest vacation resort destinations. With all their unique diversity I don't think you can go wrong by visiting all of the Shore destinations to see what they have to offer.
The shore has attracted people from Pennsylvania, New York, Canada, etc. where they come for its uniqueness as well as the many varieties of tempting food that are available.
